He began working with the Equitable Life Assurance Society. he acted as the vice president of the Astor Trust Company from 1907 to 1912. He was the president of the Liberty National Bank from 1912 to 1914. He was the president of the Bankers Trust Company of New York from 1914 to 1923. He was also the chairman of the Bankers Trust Company of New York beginning in 1923. In 1931 he was head of the New York Emergency Employment Committee. Part of his property in Englewood used to be the Dwight Morrow Estate. He married Constance Barber. He had three daughters, Mrs. Leighton H. Stevens, Mrs. John A. Gifford, and Mrs. Richard K. Mellon.</text>

                <text>Thomas William Lamont was an American banker. He graduated from Harvard in 1892. After the firm he was working for suffered financial problems, he helped reorganize the firm which was renamed Lamont, Corlis &amp;amp; Co. in 1898. He became the secretary and treasurer of Bankers Trust Co. in 1903. In 1911 he became the the youngest partner of J.P. Morgan Bank. He eventually became chairman of the Board of the bank. He also acted as a financial advisor during and after the World Wars for the United States, China, Japan, Mexico, and Germany. He married Florence Haskell Corliss of Englewood, New Jersey in 1895. He had four children, Thomas Stilwell, Corliss, Austin, and Eleanor Allen Lamont Cunningham.</text>

                <text>Ann Twomey was a nurse at Englewood Hospital. She graduated from the Englewood Hospital's School of Nursing. She graduated and joined the hospital's cardiac care unit in 1971. Eventually, she was appointed to the nurses' council which allowed nurses to make recommendations to superiors. Twomey believed the council was not sufficient and began working to form a union in 1973. The union formed was the Professional Nurses Association. She led nurses to strike at the Pascack Valley Hospital in 1979 ending in a settlement. She became the president of the Health Professionals and Allied Employees of New Jersey, the largest union of healthcare professionals in New Jersey as of 2017.</text>

He was one of the first African American players to play overseas after he served in the military. After his basketball career, he attended the University of Bologna in Italy receiving a pharmaceutical degree. He graduated with a medical degree from the University of Geneva in Switzerland. He practiced vascular surgery in New City, New York, and Englewood Hospital. He helped start the Maurice Stokes Foundation which supported basketball player Maurice Stokes who experienced a severe brain injury in 1958. He married twice. During the first marriage he had two children, Fletcher Harold and Renee. He married a woman named Jeanne. He had two sons during that time, Benjamin and Fletcher III.</text>

                <text>Otto Oscar Binder was an author who wrote science fiction, non-fiction, comic books, and television scripts. He began his career with his brother Earl writing "The First Martian" in 1930 under the name Eando Binder. In January 1936 Earl dissolved the partnership. By 1939 Binder joined his brother Jack in the comic book world, writing for Fawcett Publications. He most notably worked on the character Captain Marvel. He worked with the company until it shut down its comic book department in 1953. He worked for Timely Comics and Quality Comics in the 1940s. In 1948 he joined DC Comics and most famously wrote Superman comics and co-created Supergirl. He wrote numerous science-fiction books as well. He was born and lived in Englewood with his family. He married Ione Frances Turek Binder in 1940. He had one daughter, Mary Lorine.</text>

                <text>Sol Kaplan was a business owner and founder of Sol &amp;amp; Sol kosher deli on Palisade Avenue. He opened the deli in 1951 with his partner Sol Stein. Celebrities such as Dizzy Gillespie and Alan Alda discussed the deli on an episode of M*A*S*H. He fled his home village of Kopatkewich in 1921 during the pogroms. He moved to Englewood in the late 1940s. He was a member of the Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Temple Emanu-El. He sold Sol &amp;amp; Sol in 1971. Eventually, he worked as a doorman for an office building in New York City. He married twice, first to Ruth. After her death, he married Frances Silverman in 1974. He had three children, Barry, Francine Rosenberg, and Helene Rubin.</text>

                <text>William E. Brown Jr. was a Lieutenant General of the Allied Air Forces Southern Europe and the deputy commander in chief of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe for the Southern Area. He attended Dwight Morrow High School and was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church. Brown received a bachelor of science from Pennsylvania State University in 1949. He graduated from Squadron Officer School at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alaska in 1956, Armed Forces Staff College, Norfolk, Virginia in 1966, and the Industrial College of the Armed Forces, Fort Lesley J. McNair, Washington D.C. in 1973. From 1951 to 1970 he served in numerous fighter squadrons. 1971 he served the Department of Defense Manpower and Reserve Affairs Office at the Pentagon. In 1973 he was the deputy commander for operations at Reese Air Force Base. By September 15, 1982, he was promoted to lieutenant general.
