Anne Stewart Baer was involved in the Civil Rights Movement Freedom Rides. In 1962 she was arrested briefly for her protesting. She lived in Englewood with her husband, Byron M. Baer. They divorced in 1983. She had two children, David and Laura Baer Levine.
