Description
Neil Bogart was a music producer and executive. He founded the world-famous Casablanca Records in 1973. Bogart helped fuel the rise of disco in the 1970s when Casablanca signed Donna Summer and the Village People. He was also known for helping the rise of bubblegum pop. Bogart also had smash hits with KISS and George Clinton’s Parliament. He lived on Glenwood Avenue in Englewood. He eventually sold his home to singer songwriter Van McCoy. He married Elizabeth Weiss in 1965 and they divorced in 1974. He then married Joyce Bogart.
