Robert B. Cohen (1925–2012) was a prominent New Jersey businessman and philanthropist best known as the founder of Hudson Media and Hudson News, which grew from a single newsstand in New York City into the largest airport news and magazine retailer in the world. Born in Jersey City, Cohen expanded his family’s modest newspaper distribution business into a national enterprise by recognizing the changing dynamics of travel and consumer habits, particularly in airports. Beyond his entrepreneurial success, he was deeply engaged in civic and charitable work, especially within Englewood, where he lived for many years. Cohen supported educational, cultural, and Jewish community institutions, leaving a lasting legacy both in business innovation and community service.
