Ellen Travolta is an American actress whose television career has spanned several decades. She is best known for portraying Louisa Arcola Delvecchio, the mother of Chachi Arcola, on the popular sitcoms Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi, as well as for her roles on General Hospital and Charles in Charge. Throughout her career, she has appeared in numerous television series, films, and stage productions, establishing herself as a versatile performer in both comedy and drama.

Born in Englewood, New Jersey, on October 6, 1939, Travolta grew up in a family deeply connected to the performing arts. She was the eldest sibling of actor John Travolta and was strongly influenced by her mother, Helen Burke Travolta, a drama teacher and community theater advocate who encouraged all of her children to pursue artistic interests. Before achieving success as an actress, Travolta performed as a singer, worked as a drama coach, and directed student productions.

In addition to her acting career, Travolta has been a longtime supporter of community theater. She has been closely associated with the Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre in Idaho, where she has appeared in numerous productions and helped continue her family's commitment to the performing arts.
