Description

Winton J. White was an educator in Englewood. He began as a mathematics teacher at Englewood High School when he moved to Englewood in 1907. In 1918 he became the superintendent of the Englewood School System. He was also an athletic coach and the Winton J. White stadium was named after him. He was also the first president of the Englewood Rotary Club. He married Gertrude M. Van Zandt. He had three sons, Dr. Winton J. Jr., Robert C., and Dr. David C.
